The Future Is In The Arts

hello, so a lot has happened since last Friday. i got a pumpkin iced latte at dunkin donuts, to mark the begging of fall, i completely redesigned my line, sewed leather pants, oh, and i attained a fashion show for the academy of art university. mercedes benz fashion week show. with seats. sixth row up. and famous people. and gorgeous clothes. and backstage parties, and free Pepsi's, and someone asked us if we were for the daily news. and there was gorgeousness everywhere. and i have feels.
this is what i wore. the bag was made the day before specifically for toting around spirit fashions.
loony wore some freacking lovely things as well. not to mention a blue wig.

when we got to the fancy entrance, and i mean cameras, people yelling, and wearing leather, a friend of Loony's dad collected us and brought us in. this lady had just appeared, i have no idea who she is but apparently she's famous. so loony took a picture. form now on all the pictures are loonys, and even though she's a great photographer you must excuse bad light, peoples refusal to stay still, and tall people obstructing us short people. but it was still fun and gorgeous
we got there earlier so we get to stand around and watch them practice. the modals walked up the runway in normal clothes and horrendously high heels. many fell/took them of and put on sneakers. we eavesdropped on important people and split it up like a high-school.
then the important people starting coming. the show was supposed to start at eight but because this is the fashion industry everyone was fashionably late.
there were so many well dressed people it was overwhelming in a good way.
i think this old lady is famous. there are more non-blurry pics coming up so tell me if you recognize her.
this was where the super fancy or rich unimportant people sat. i couldn't quite tell.
now we were sitting behind two rather badly behaved lady's. in the sense that they talked, took pictures of themselves, put on and took off layers, and just generally did not sit still. so please excuse Loony if you spot an out of place arm. also, while the clothes were gorgeous. it was hard to get good pics because the lighting was so bright and the music was literally shaking the room. plus a lot of the designs reflected the light so they turned into glowing warrior women.

then we went backstage where the famous people were weeded through and just the important fashion people came. and we got to see the clothes on the racks before they took them away.

i saw a fabulous old lady who i want novels written about. Loony saw Effie Trinket. take your pick.

this was the board that showcased all the designs and the modals wearing them.
she just looked like one cool girl.
this girl was adorable. she was dressed so well and childish. I'm not sure who she is but i applaud her mother, who is probably important to be aloud to take her daughter backstage. so overall it was a nice flash forward to my future. i plan to work double time, and maybe put together a little show for my work. that is a much more reasonable idea then it sounds. i have it sorted. hush.
